ALEUTIA - About Us

Aleutia is a Limited Company established in London in 2006, and is funded from Palo Alto, CA. It is at once a collaborative, open source project of vast possibilities and a highly focused process to rapidly produce and distribute affordable computer appliances for people without reliable access to power.

The nature of its ambitions and its focus on the developing world have encouraged a number of people to lend their time and extensive experience to this project and Aleutia enjoys decades worth of experience in management, distribution, sales, industrial design, and software engineering from staff spread across three continents.

The Aleutia Team consists of:
	Mike Rosenberg (London) - Founder, Sales Director Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago, and has traveled extensively in Africa. He previously enjoyed a career in IT sales before launching this venture in response to the challenges encountered setting up an Internet cafe in Ghana. email: michael@mail.aleutia.com
	Cameron Freer (Cambridge, MA) - Software Engineer Cameron is pursuing a PhD in mathematics at Harvard University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago and is proficient in several aspects of computer science. email: cameron@mail.aleutia.com
	Benjamin Freer (Rochester, NY) - Hardware Engineer Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and is pursuing his Master of Science degree at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is knowledgeable in digital and analog circuitry as well as design-for-manufacturing / design-for-test techniques. email: ben@mail.aleutia.com
	Sharif Fanselow (London) - Website Developer Sharif has been the primary contributor to Aleutia's website and is the latest addition to our team. He holds a BSc Honours degree (1st Class) in Multimedia Technology and Applications from London Metropolitan University. He has lived in Jordan, Egypt, and Brunei before settling in London and has an immense personal interest in Africa and the Middle East, both from a political and anthropological perspective. email: sharif@mail.aleutia.com
	Oliver Ossei Gerning (Takoradi, Ghana) - Marketing and Distribution Adviser Oliver founded the well known NGO Mercy Foundation in Ghana's third largest city. He has recently established an Internet Cafe with an aim to educating the street children Mercy Foundation works with and helps assimilate into Ghana's state schools. Oliver advises on business practices and distribution methods in the region, and also serves as a leading member of Aleutia's pilot programs. email: oliver@mail.aleutia.com
	Carl Rosenberg (London) - Business Adviser Carl co-founded Green Hills Software, one of the world's leading independent compiler companies, and served as its VP of Research and Development. He was also responsible for sales development, especially in Europe and Japan. Later, he was a visiting scientist at the Whitehead Institute at MIT in Cambridge, MA where he developed imaging techniques to map the human and mouse genomes. email: carl@mail.aleutia.com
