Fast Dual Core PerformanceWith two separate 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPUs, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and an extremely fast Intel solid state drive, the P1 is the first fanless PC that doesn’t compromise on performance. For multi Completely Silent (0dB)Fans suck in dust and over time become clogged and noisy. Our case serves as a heatsink with a custom heatpipe that pulls heat from inside and disperses it through the grooves in our case so that it will always be silent. Unrivalled Boot TimeUbuntu 9.10 boots in just 12 seconds thanks to an extremely fast Intel Solid State Drive. Wide DC Input (6-26V)Aleutia’s focus has always been on using computers off the power grid. To make life easier for our marine, caravan, and solar customers, we’ve equipped the P1 with a wide 6V to 26V DC input so you don’t have to worry about having 12V exactly. Of course, it comes with an AC brick power supply as well. Field Tested in Rural NigeriaMost people design PCs for air conditioned offices. We design them for dust storms, 30 C temperatures, and constant (ab)use. Which is why the P1’s been fine in rural Nigeria. Runs Linux or WindowsThe P1 comes with Ubuntu 9.10 by default (released October, 2009), which includes OpenOffice 3.1 and the Firefox web browser. Though we recommend Linux, we can offer the P1 with Vista Business. And it runs Windows 7 beautifully. |
Short video showing the P1, running directly off a 12V folding solar panel (with integrated batteries) that we’ve developed in house. ![]() If a customer requires an additional 10/100/1000 Network Port or a WLAN Adapter, we can mount this using the PCI card slot, and by removing the power switch. The BIOS is then set to Boot After Power Loss (i.e. turn on when power is plugged in), making it ideal as an always-on server with two network ports. |
