Features

Just 14 Watts at Peak

The T1 idles at 10 Watts and peaks at just 14 Watts despite boasting a 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and desktop-class hard drives. The Mac Mini, by comparison, claims to be the world’s most energy efficient desktop, despite idling at 13 Watts and costing nearly three times as much.

Available with 8GB or 40GB SSD for No Moving Parts

The T1 is available not only with low power laptop hard drives, but also with an extremely fast 40GB Intel solid state drive that uses only 0.15 Watts (compared to 2W for a hard drive). For customers who just want some space for the OS and apps, we have an 8GB SSD option. No Moving Parts Means Less Things to Fail.

Fanless and Silent

You won’t have to worry about the fan failing either, since the T1 is passively cooled. No fan means no either (you only know it’s on from the LED). Even the laptop hard drives we offer only make a slight whir when they boot.

12V DC Input

Ideal for use in cars, boats, or caravans. A 12V DC Input also makes it ideal for solar installations as it can run off a Direct Current battery and avoid a wasteful inverter.

Order with Ubuntu or Windows 7

Ubuntu 9.10 is pre-installed and requires no drivers, but for customers who prefer Windows 7 we can install Win7 Home Premium for £75 more.

VESA Mountable

The T1 includes 4 mounting screws, allowing you to directly attach it to any standard VESA Mount (100 mm x 100 mm), whether on a monitor or even flat screen television.

Energy Efficient Means a Tiny Power Adapter:

Because the T1 uses so little power it doesn’t need a Laptop “brick” but instead uses a small “mobile phone style” AC adapter. It has a DVI port which means you can connect it not only to DVI monitors for a clearer picture but also to HDMI televisions using a low cost adapter. And there’s optional on-board 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi which includes a 2.5dB antenna for better wireless connectivity.

Smooth Playback of YouTube, BBC iPlayer, or Hulu:

Most fanless PCs this size come with terrible onboard graphics and minimal processing power, causing them to struggle with online video sites. The T1 is quick enough that it can smoothly play YouTube videos in High Quality mode or BBC iPlayer.
