What is required of prospective resellers?
We require all our resellers to purchase a full price evaluation unit through the website (or via bank transfer) in order to become more familiar with our offering and be in a better position to market our unique PCs. After that, the minimum wholesale order is 10 units at a time. The price difference for the evaluation order (or for additional samples) will be returned to you when you place your first wholesale order.
What is the process of becoming a reseller?
We’d like to get a sense of how you plan to position the E2 and in which regions. Also, what paths to market do you plan to take — retail, web, tradeshows, etc. Above all, we’d like to know what other hardware or technology products you’ve marketed before, and how our range of computers complements that experience or your existing product portfolio.
How will you benefit from being an accredited reseller?
We will provide tremendous technical and marketing support to your sales efforts. We’re happy to attend conference calls with your clients, and lend credibility to your relationship with us, and, for large opportunities, we’re happy to fly out and help lead presentations. We can produce co-branded datasheets and other marketing materials and, for large orders, can produce co-branded packaging. Of course, we’re happy to work in an anonymous capacity as well, answering technical pre-sales questions that you feed back to us, or handling support issues on your behalf.
Lastly, we will drive business your way by listing you on our website and by pushing opportunities we come across in your market to you. We always aim to have business handled through our channel partners, as our customers, particularly in developing economies, value that local presence and relationship.
Who provides technical support and warranty fulfillment?
Aleutia will always shoulder the cost of our 3 Year Warranty. We like to treat our PCs as a hot-swap component — if a unit fails, a reseller can immediately provide a customer with a new one. In the case of the E-Series and F5, the customer has only to slot the CF card in and they can continue working. Thus, we encourage resellers to keep extra stock on hand to ensure immediate fulfillment. Failed units are sent back to London and free replacements (new not refurbished) are provided upon their receipt. We provide unlimited technical support by email. Phone support must be handled by the reseller, unless negotiated otherwise.
